Road to Dunedin

Went down south to Dunedin for a short trip. These are the pictures I took on the way there. All were taken on from a moving bus from Christchurch to Dunedin... mostly of fields, hills, sky, farm, sheeps and sea.

Kiwi
|

|
I learnt the word ‘kiwi’ for the first time during my pre-school years. Back then ‘kiwi’ to me was a brand of shoe polish (Do we still have Kiwi shoe polish in M’sia today?). The act of polishing shoes will be called as ‘kiwi kasut’. Later in school (or may be in just some books) I learnt that kiwi is actually a bird and also a type of fruit. Only after I stepped on NZ ground I learnt that New Zealanders are also known as kiwis.

The first few pics was taken on my way back to Christchurch.
and all the others.. taken where I am now. It's winter now in this southern part of the globe. No snow though. I love seeing the 'nude' trees.. the branches and twigs cast beautiful art against the blue blackdrop... God is Great.

Snapshots in homeland

A few pic taken when I was back at home..
those sunset pics were taken at a beach behind the KT airport.. Pantai Teluk *something*.. was it Teluk Batin or Teluk Ketapang.. can't remember. Went there to eat "sotong celup tepung".. yumm..(salivating!) .. ok, i'll go and hunt for some squids in Pak n Save and will try to make my own sotong celup tepung. err.. do they have squids at Pak n Save?
went for a walk at Losong museum.. feel like I was walking down a memory lane.. that used to be the place I walked through to go to my primary school..
the sawah (rice field) pic was taken during my research trip in Kedah. Being brought up nowhere near sawah, I was so amazed by the view.
